All the schools of our district have utilized the grant under BALA Scheme. The children learn a lot using these aids shown on the walls.
Children with special needs (CWSN) are encouraged to participate in extra curricular activities along with studies .The CSWN who won positions in painting competitions were honored by the Governor of Punjab Shri S.F.Rodrigues.
Medical Camps for the Children with special needs (CWSN) are held every year and aids are distributed to the needy.
Along with studies the students are encouraged to play and swings are installed in primary schools .
All the development work under SSA is done through Village
Education Development Committee and the VEDC members are imparted training for two days every year .
The TLM competition of teachers was held at the block and district level .These type of competitions will encourage teachers to prepare good & educative TLM.
136 additional classroom grant was given in the financial year 2009-10 and our district has utilised all the Civil work activities of 2009-10.
The tree plantation drive was started in our district and in the financial year 2009-10 25,000 new trees were planted in the government schools.
Computer education is provided in all the government upper primary schools of the district .
