  1. As per the directions of Govt. of Punjab, 500th Gurupurb of Guru Angad Dev Ji was celebrated with great pomp and show in this district. On this pious occasion big shobha yatra was organized in the district. Moreover roads/link roads going to birth place of Guruji Sarai Naga were repaired . One new road connecting Gurudawara Sahib was constructed with public/government contribution. Big gate is being constructed by SGPC at village Sarai Naga.

  2. Special attention is being given to remove encroachments on link and other public places. Besides this earth work where ever required is being done by the public on the appeal of District Administration.

  3. Special repair of Sri Muktsar Sahib - Malout road near bus stand Sri Muktsar Sahib was done.

  4. DAC Sri Muktsar Sahib, which is yet to be completed has been given new outlook, by making arrangement of sanitation, whitewash, construction of boundary wall, construction of main gate and by doing earth work where ever required. One can find visible change in the outlook and working of DAC Sri Muktsar Sahib.

  5. 66 KV power sub-station on Malout road is under construction, masonry work on the building of this project is in progress and it is being reviewed by the concerned department from time to time.

  6. Special attention is being given to those villages, where funds under IRDP has been provided. Following villages were covered under IRDP scheme Marar Kalan, Jhabelwali, Akalgarh, Sarainaga, Harike Kalan, Jando ke, Chak Bir Sarkar, Nandgarh., virk Khera, Dabra, Rathrian, Jandwala, Ramnagar, Khunan Kalan, Goniana, Butter bakhua, Mallan, Faqarsar, Peori, Sukhna Ablu, Sahib Chand, Tharajwala, Bhai ka kera, Kandu khera, Dhoula, Arniwala Wazira, Bhitiwala, Bhullarwala, Tarmala.

  7. Two ponds per development block have been identified and prepared for implementation of duckweed technology . Duckweed has been put in all those ponds and other related work are in progress. Villages covered under Duckweed technology are Sheerwali, Samewali,Aulakh, Bodiwala, Kheowali, Banwala Attu, Kotbhai, Maniwala.

  8. One new park near District Administrative Complex is under construction. It will be constructed with public contributions. Statue of Sh. B.R. Ambedkar will be installed in the park to remember this great leader of Indian history.

  9. Kotkapura Sri Muktsar Sahib bye Pass Road (Kehar Singh Bye Pass Road) is being renovated/ reconstructed.

  10. Two shelters for passengers are under construction on Kehar Singh bye pass road.
